Frequently asked questions

›Is it safe to merge confidential documents here?

Yes. Foldyo merges your PDFs inside your browser. The files are not uploaded to any server, so nobody else receives them. You can confirm it in the Network tab of your browser’s developer tools.

›Is there a watermark, a sign-up or a file limit?

There is no watermark and no account. To keep your browser responsive, each file can be up to 200 MB and the total up to 400 MB. Very large files can be slow or fail on devices with little memory.

›Can I change the order of the files?

Yes. Use the arrows next to each file to move it up or down before you click Merge PDFs.

›Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

Not at the moment. Remove the password first using the app that protected the file, then try again.

›Will bookmarks and form fields be kept?

The pages and their content are kept. Some interactive features, such as bookmarks or form fields, may not be preserved in the merged file, so check the result.
